Drew Academy Students Make All-Region Concert Choir

More than 300 middle school/junior high school students auditioned from Region 33 for a spot.

Two students from Drew Academy hit all the right notes.

Demiah Williams and Jocelyn Dorsey auditioned for the All-Region 33 Choir in October. According to Courtnay Holiday, the pair hit all the rights notes. Holiday is their choir director at the campus.

Iproud of what Demiah and Jocelyn accomplished,” said Holiday. “They did the work and were well prepared.”

Students that earn a place in the All-Region Choir must attend all clinics, rehearsals and concerts performed by the group. Recently, the All-Region Choir performed at C.E. King High School in Sheldon ISD.

Demiah, a soprano singer, aspires to attend Sam Houston State University. She wants to pursue voice performance.

Jocelyn sings alto. She dreams of attending Juilliard School of Music and center on musical theater.
